The performance will include works by Brahms, Beethoven, Saint-Saens, and Vivaldi. Tickets to this special performance are $35 for general admission. A limited number of premium seats, which include an exclusive pre-concert reception, are available for $75. All proceeds benefit the Fund for Access, The Hartt School Community Division's financial aid program. For tickets, contact the University Box Office at (860) 768-4228 or (800) 274-8587. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased anytime at www.hartford.edu/hartt.

A native of West Hartford, Miss Huang began her violin studies at The Hartt School Community Division when she was four years old. Now an award-winning and internationally-acclaimed artist, she is about to embark on her college studies and gives this recital as a gift to our community. The recital will include solo works on the first half of the program. The second half of the program will include a performance of "Summer" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons as well as his Concerto for Four Violins in B Minor. For the Concerto, Miss Huang will be joined by violin soloists from the Hartt Community Division and the Opus 89 Youth Orchestra, led by Emmett Drake. We hope you can join us for a wonderful concert and a unique opportunity to support the Fund for Access.

For more information about making a tax-deductible contribution to the Fund for Access, contact Hilary Respass at respass@hartford.edu.

Voca People combines a capella singing, comedy and beatboxing in an 8-person show about aliens who crash land their musically powered space ship on earth. The group has been featured on CBS 2 New York and praised by Jimmy Fallon as as the "coolest show playing off-Broadway." A graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business, Mark Martin, plays the role of Captain Beat On, the leader of the Voca People. In addition to touring with his fellow "Vocas" he jams and experiments with electronic sound with other musicians in New York City and volunteers at the Lavelle School for the Blind.

The Performer's Certificate Program is designed for accomplished music students in grades 11-12 who are interested in pursuing a college degree in music. For more information about this program and how to apply, click here.
