This weekend, March 16-17, is the Suzuki String Workshop. We are pleased to welcome Sandy Reuning, guest teacher and speaker. Mr. Reuning is the director of Ithaca Talent Education and an adjunct professor at the School of Music, Ithaca College. He is a past president and board member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and currently serves on the Violin Committee. Mr. Reuning has taught at workshops and institutes in over 23 states and 6 foreign countries and he has distinguished himself at International Suzuki Conferences, serving as a faculty member in 1978 and 1999 and as a chairman in 1981. We are grateful to have such a renowned educator working with our students and faculty this weekend.

Audition Day: Sign up now

In 1938 when Rubin Segal founded the Hartt School Community Division's first orchestra, he started with 10 students.  The first week he asked each of them to bring a friend and the next week they had 20 students.  Again he invited each ensemble member to bring a friend. By the concert they had over 30 members creating music together.  Sign-up for the 2012 Audition Day Festival and tell a friend to do the same!

To request an audition, fill out the online form or contact us at (860) 768-4451 or harttcomm@hartford.edu.
