Community Division Performances at People's Bank
Please join us for the People's United Bank Holiday Perform-A-Thon! On Friday, December 16th from 3:30-4:30 pm, students from The Hartt Community Division will be performing at People's United Bank at Financial Plaza in Downtown Hartford. Both soloists and chamber ensembles will be performing selections by Bach, Dvorak, Handel, Mozart, Weber, and many more! On Saturday, December 17th from 11L00 am to 1:00 pm our students will convene at the West Hartford Center People's United Bank on Farmington Avenue for a continuation of the Perform-A-Thon. Soloists and chamber ensembles will perform repertoire from Debussy, Dvorak, Koshkin, and Bruch, as well as holiday favorites. Thank you to our students from the Suzuki Program, String Department, Guitar Department, Chamber Music Department, Piano Department, and Voice Department for performing at this event. Please come out and support our students. People's United Bank is a contributor to HCD's Fund for Access, enriching lives through participation in the arts. |
Hartt Community Division Student News
Gunnar Moll, winner of the 2010 Connecticut Youth Symphony (CYS) Concerto Competition, will be performing Max Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, Op. 46, with CYS this Sunday, December 18. The concert will begin at 3:00 pm in Lincoln Theater. Gunnar has been studying the violin for fourteen years at The Hartt School Community Division. He currently studies violin with with Teri Einfeldt. |

December Schedule Reminder
Music Make-up days: December 19-23
There will be no regularly scheduled music lessons unless make-up lessons have been arranged.
Dance Winter Break: December 20-January 2
There will be no Community Division dance activities at the Handel Performing Arts Center or the Simsmore Square location from December 20 to January 2. The Community Division Dance Department office will be open for normal business hours through December 23. The Dance Department office will close from December 24 to January 2. All classes, rehearsals, and normal office hours resume on Tuesday, January 3. Dance classes cancelled on Monday, January 2, will be made up on Monday, April 16.
Music Winter Break: December 24-January 2
There will be no Community Division music activities at any locations from December 24 to January 2. All offices will be closed. Classes, lessons, rehearsals, and normal office hours resume on Tuesday, January 3.
