Spotlight on Adult Tap Classes

Why Tap? Apart from the obvious answer, it's fun! Tap is an excellent dance style and even beginners will reap the benefits of this discipline.  Tap Improves cardio vascular condition, enhances cognitive abilities while strengthening the legs and feet and increases flexibility in the knees, hips and ankles.

The Hartt School Community Division offers tap as part of the Adult Dance Classes at the Handel Performing Arts Center (see schedule for details). The class is taught by Darlene Zoller, a talented teacher and choreographer as well as the Artistic Director for Playhouse on Park.

Newcomers can try one free class before registering. Ten-class dance cards and year-long registration are also available.

Do you know a youngster who would like to try tap? We also offer Children's Tap for 3-8 year olds and Youth Tap for 8-15 year olds.
