| Another Round of Resolutions |
Greetings!
We've ushered in a new year and decade with great anticipation of a fresh start on the heels of making it through the infamous past year. For many of us the very act of making resolutions seemed pointless and a few may have even felt the new age practice of building dreamboards become defunct almost as quickly as its popularity had spread. Yet, by whatever means we felt most comfortable with - journal writing, list making, dreamboard building, or simply by outright proclamations during conversations - we forged ahead with yet another round of resolutions.
I want to use this month's editorial to encourage you to be deligent with your great expectations for the year ahead. Manifest the many goals that got lost by the wayside amidst past chaos. January's practically a wrap and perhaps you've already been drenched in rain and had the wind knocked out of your sail persuading you to take your eyes of those dreams. DON'T! Let the winds blow and the rains fall. Adjust your sails so those very winds carry you in the direction of your tangible dreams. Walk tall and strong against the rain knowing that it serves to wash away all the crap you have absolutely no need of.
Brush up that headshot. Revise that screenplay. Cast that play you've been longing to produce and direct. Record that song that's been sitting on your heart for years now. Film that webseries you just know will be picked up as a TV show. This is the year to reconnect with your muse on the deepest level you possibly can. Let it reveal to you that fresh new angle on storytelling that affirms the existence of an untapped creative source from which we all flow and from which we can all draw. Now, more than ever, the world needs that. Now more than ever the world needs another round of resolutions!
Happy creative year!
