Vladimir Luxuria, Former MP, Italy,
is an Italian actress, writer, politician and television presenter. Luxuria was the first openly transgender member of Parliament in Europe, and the world's second openly transgender MP after New Zealander Georgina Beyer. Out & Equal Founding Executive Director Selisse Berry presented a keynote address last week during the the Second International Expo & Business LGBT event in Cancun, Mexico.
Selisse discussed the importance of reaching out globally to bring changes to the workplace. Out Now's Global LGBT 2020 Study for Mexico was released at the conference and revealed that 56 % of LGBT people surveyed in Mexico believe that being out of the closet could keep them from advancing in their careers. "No one should ever have to choose between a career they love and living their lives with authenticity and integrity," Selisse said.

Extended Hours Announced for Exhibition Hall
Exhibitors at the always popular 2012 Workplace Summit Exhibition Hall will be delighted to learn that the Hall will be open all three days of the Summit. The grand opening will be Tuesday, October 30, at noon and continue until 6 pm. Wednesday hours will be 9 am to 6 pm, and Thursday hours will be 9 am to 3:30 pm.
