The Out Pfizer Employee Network (OPEN) was one of the first employee resource groups established at Pfizer. Today, OPEN offers both domestic and global chapters with additional chapters popping up each year.
In 2004, Pfizer became the first pharmaceutical company to achieve a perfect '100' score on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The company maintains that perfect score every year since, even as CEI standards rise. Naturally, Pfizer provides domestic partner benefits and gender reassignment medical coverage. Pfizer also supports LGBT entrepreneurs with an award-winning supplier diversity program.
