SEPTEMBER 2ND, WORSHIP SERVICE CHANGES TO 5PM! DONT FORGET!

10 TO THE CITY

Sunday, September 16 is an important day in the history of All Souls Knoxville. That is the day that the entire Congregation will be asked during the service to brainstorm their ideas about how 10% of our Church budget can be used to make the greatest difference in the City of Knoxville.   At All Souls, we say our purpose is to seek the peace of the City.   How we invest our collective Church tithe (10% of the All Souls budget) will be a visible way to put our resources toward that purpose.

The September 16 brainstorming session will be the first step toward making a final decision on this important issue.   On Sunday, October 21, the Congregation will be asked to refine options that emerge from the September 21 brainstorming; and on Sunday, November 18, the Congregation will be asked to vote on the menu of final options.   All along the way, it is asked that we prayerfully consider two questions:

1.  How do we as a congregation of All Souls Knoxville best seek the peace of the City?

2.  In view of the answer to the first question, what is the best use of the tithe of the All Souls Knoxville church budget?

Please make every effort to attend on September 16 and urge everyone you know in the Congregation to make participating in this "10 TO THE CITY" process a high priority

ISRAEL PILGRIMAGE, March 8-18

Prayerfully consider joining Susanne and Paul Hassell on this trip of a lifetime! A pilgrimage is not the same as a sight-seeing tour. Walking the Jesus Trail in Galilee and the Via Delorosa in Jerusalem will  transform your life and you will never read the Bible the same. Registration deadline is Sept. 15, but we expect it to fill sooner, so don't delay! For all the details, see www.holypaths.org/pilgrimage.
