SEPTEMBER 2ND, WORSHIP SERVICE CHANGES TO 5PM! DONT FORGET!
Update on Ron Wollard (from Betty Wollard) - he has made a wonderful recovery! He has now been cleared to drive and resume activity, as long as he doesn't strain himself and keeps his blood pressure at a healthy low. He plans to go back to work next week, part-time, and full-time the week following. He has started physical therapy just for stretching and strengthening. All is good. Thank you everyone for your prayers. My personal prayer mantra has been Yes, Lord & Your Will Be Done.
Pilgrimage is full, thank you for all who signed up. Any who didn't make the first class will be added to the November class. We're so excited to have you at All Souls! Please keep coming.
Doug will be teaching Living Within the Story this fall. We will learn the story of scripture and explore how the biblical story contrasts with other stories we use to make sense of life. There is about an hour of homework a week. The class will meet in the chapel on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8 beginning September 4. Please email doug@allsoulsknoxville.com to register. Students also can take the course for three hours of seminary credit with Reformed Theological Seminary. Let Doug know if ASAP if you want to pursue this option.

Group Spiritual Direction - Coming in September to Holy Paths Groups of four will meet twice a month for three months. Dates and times will be arranged as the groups form. Cost is $125/person per semester. This is flexible. One existing small group has decided to come once a month for spiritual direction while continuing their usual Bible study the rest of the month. Suhassell@gmail.com Each member will present whatever they'd like concerning their job, health, relationship with God, family, or friends. The other listeners support the speaker with prayer and gentle sharing of what they hear and how they are experiencing the movement of the Holy Spirit. If you'd like to learn to be a better listener (for others and for God) this is for you. If you'd like to learn more about spiritual direction without the expense of attending singly, now is your chance. If you'd like to be part of a close, caring community, come!
ISRAEL PILGRIMAGE, March 8-18
Prayerfully consider joining Susanne and Paul Hassell on this trip of a lifetime! A pilgrimage is not the same as a sight-seeing tour. Daylight is starting to wane, which means it must be time for Knox County Public Library's Movies on Market Square! On September 7, the 9th season of fido-friendly outdoor movies launches its fall line-up. Every Friday night from September 7-October 12 (7-10pm), the public and their beloved four-pawed companions are invited to a free, family movie presented by PetSafe.
