Cold War Cinema: "Goodbye Lenin!"
October 20  the Diefenbunker Cold War Cinema series presents "Goodbye Lenin!" a 2003 German comedy. This excellent and entertaining film has won 31 international awards and 15 nominations!  It is highly recommended for anyone with an interest in East Berlin and German re-unification, but this film is also simply very funny and moving.  As always, we provide free popcorn and coffee, and a museum tour is available at 6pm.

To reserve your spot (a must!), call: 613-839-0007
or email

Film (7pm): $6; Film and bunker tour (6pm): $15.

The Cold War Store
cold war storeWe have moved the Cold War Store down the hall and around the corner into the Allard Gallery. Over the next few months we are redesigning rebuilding and stocking a new and improved version in the old location. We also are looking forward to having our inventory online in the future. Please feel free to let us know what you think and if there is anything, either in particular or in general, that you would like to see us stock here at the Bunker.

Diefenbunker 2.0
The Diefenbunker has become more interactive than ever! For daily updates, as well as a forum for visitors and staff to share their thoughts, we have implemented a new Facebook  page, & Twitter account both of which feed into our new Blog! Exciting times are ahead of us as we improve our ability to connect with visitors by sharing the future plans and major changes in-store for the bunker, and conversely get all-important feedback on what visitors may feel we are doing right and wrong or what they may like to see us provide for them. Check out our progress at the links below:
