LAN Remembers 9/11
As we mark the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, LAN is honored to lend our support for the construction of 9/11 Memorials in Hawthorne and in Midland Park. Both communities are an integral part of LAN's history. LAN Associates was founded at 662 Goffle Road in Hawthorne by John A. Lacz, PE in 1965 where we remained for 35 years. During that time, LAN steadily grew, and in 2000 we relocated our headquarters to a larger facility at 445 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park. We are proud to consider both communities our "home." [...]

Bathroom Blow-Off
DIY network show to air Sept. 12th
Homeowners Tim and Kathy Burden from Toms River, NJ hired a contractor and an unlicensed architect to provide renovations to their house. Part of the renovations included reconfiguring their downstairs bathroom to make it barrier-free to accommodate Tim's progressive health condition that will eventually require his use of a wheelchair. Not only did the unlicensed architect fail to provide a design that met Tim's accessibility requirements, the contractor left the house unfinished and took the couple's $160,000 budget with him. Project Spotlight: John Hill School
In April 2010, LAN Associates began the planning and design of two building additions totaling 45,000 square feet to the John Hill School in Boonton, New Jersey. The main addition (32,825 SF) consists of 11 new general classrooms, music room with private practice rooms, art room, science room, 12 small group instruction rooms, nurse's office, main office and gymnasium fully fit out with athletic equipment and a stage for performances and assemblies in addition to an ADA accessible elevator, circulation space, offices, storage and utility rooms.
