Wonderful Wood

Here's one for the guys: three local artists who work with wood in very different ways.
John Mendez makes inlaid desk boxes out of remnants of domestic and exotic woods. Handsome as objets d'art, they can also function as receptacles for business cards, office supplies or a candy stash.
Paul Moran applies his witty altered artwork and sly sense of humor to pre-fab boxes. Custom designs are available to commemorate special occasions, using copies of your photos and documents.
Gregory Spinelli is a wood turner who makes pens, letter openers, wine corks and other gift items. Just for this show he will have his wood-handled hunting and utility knives.
