McLean Day is also the day we sponsor a Bake Sale to benefit Heifer International. Langley High School junior Lesley Harkins will be back with a tasty selection of home-baked goodies like Cinnamon Rolls, Carrot-Zucchini Bread & Molasses Spice Cookies. Garden Glass Windows
Virginia artist Lynn Gillis recycles old single pane windows into decorative elements for the garden. Colored or textured glass pieces are cut to create designs from strict geometric mosaics to free-form florals, sometimes accented with glass "gems", bits of mirror, shells, or other found objects. The wonders begin when light shines through. Intended to be used outdoors during fair weather, they are also handsome on a porch or enjoyed indoors hung before a sunny window. We have a particularly fine selection of designs and sizes now.
