A MESSAGE FROM ONTARIO POWER GENERATION

Japan has suffered the largest earthquake in its recorded history, followed by massive flooding. As the images and news reports continue to emerge, people around the world are shocked and saddened by the magnitude of devastation and human loss. Ontario Power Generation and its employees send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan and to their relatives in Canada.

The unprecedented sequence of natural events also triggered an emergency at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Other nuclear generating stations in the area have been shut down.

OPG continues to monitor the situation through the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and international nuclear safety organizations such as the World Association of Nuclear Operators. As verified information becomes available, OPG and the Canadian nuclear industry will analyze it and take appropriate action consistent with our commitment to safety and continuous learning.

events, you may have questions about OPG's nuclear facilities. If so, please visit www.opg.com.
