Olympic Torch Relay Comes Through Oshawa The
Olympic Torch is expected to begin its Oshawa journey near the Courtice/Oshawa
municipal border on Wednesday, December 16 at 4:15 p.m. and will
wind its way through the City until it reaches downtown Oshawa for the evening
celebration event. The City of Oshawa is calling on residents to line the
relay route and cheer on our torchbearers as they carry the official Olympic
Flame through Oshawa. To find out if the Olympic Torch Relay is travelling past your neighbourhood,

Please forward any suspicious emails where credit card numbers are being used to purchase product from your company to info@phonebusters.com. The CAFC would like to remind you when accepting a credit card not present, (by phone or email) if that card is being used fraudulently the merchant (you) is responsible for the loss. Fall Bill Cuts Taxes and Creates Jobs for
OntarioWith the passage
of Bill 218, the Ontario Tax Plan for More Jobs and Growth Act, 2009, the
Ontario government will provide individuals, families and businesses with more
than $15 billion in tax cuts over three years. Tax cuts for business include
reductions in Corporate Income Tax rates for large and small business. These
tax cuts will enhance the benefits of the HST by attracting more business

HST Booklet Available for Business
The Certified General
Accountants of Ontario (CGA Ontario) has released a comprehensive and
easy-to-understand Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) booklet, which provides an
all-purpose HST overview and addresses common questions and concerns for
business. Also available is an extensive Q&A document and a fact sheet that identify key benefits to the new HST system taking effect July 1,
2010.
The booklet details how
businesses can prepare for HST implementation, the application of HST, the
transitional rules, and general background on the HST by province. All
supportive HST resources have been bundled into an HST information tool kit for

Launch Of The New Canada Business Network Website
Small Business Week saw the launch of the new Canada Business Network website (www.canadabusiness.ca).Canada
Business is a one-stop shop: in person, online, or by phone. It
provides information for entrepreneurs on government programs and
services for small businesses. The new site offers the ability to
customize information by province and type of business. It is also
designed to reduce the time and effort required by small businesses to
