Greetings! 

October celebrated a month of National Disabilties Awareness festivities for us at Goodwill Easter Seals with the Walk With Me fundraiser, which helped us raise more than $115,000 and then with Taste of Mobile, which GES organized and was the sole beneficiary of the proceeds.  Thank you for all of your support throught the month! There's still much work to do to raise awareness and funds to help the more than 7,600 served annually. 

 

GED student receives awardThe programs and services at Goodwill Easter Seals recently ended this fiscal year and began reporting the numbers of those served through programs and services made possible by your monetary donations and donations of furniture, appliances and clothing. This year, GES helped change the lives of 7,675 people who otherwise may not receive assistance.

  • Mobile's Junior League, Christmas Jubilee event - Help us sell the Christmas on the Coast Ornaments through the event, November 11 - 13.
  • Recycling at Baker High School - Each month Goodwill Easter Seals hosts a drive-thru recycling service at Baker High School, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the last Saturday of the month.
  • Adult and Family Literacy Program - Find the ultimate gratification in helping someone learn to read in the Education Services Program.
  • GoodGuides Mentorship Program - Help change the lives of youth from the ages of 12-17 who are at risk of making harmful choices such as dropping out of school, joining a gang or who may be deliquent in school.  

There are many more opportunities, but we need you to help Goodwill Easter Seals help more people by using your time and talents. Become a volunteer and change a life.

Purchase an ornament to help Goodwill Easter Seals raise more funds to help more people. Ornaments are $12 each, plus $1 if shipping is neccessary. Thank you for your orders!
