Candidate Packets Available for November 6 General Election
WAUKEGAN, Illinois - Lake County Clerk Willard Helander announced today courtesy petition packets for independent and new political party candidates seeking a county office in the November 6 election are available online at LakeCandidatePower.info until June 25, the last day to file.
Offices to be elected in November include Circuit Court Clerk, Coroner, Recorder of Deeds, State's Attorney, County Board Members Districts 1-21, and North Shore Sanitary Trustees Districts 1-5.
LakeCandidatePower.info offers candidates many online resources including district maps, campaign disclosure information, a video on filing petition papers, and a Condensed 2012 Candidate's Guide. The guide is a synopsis of the State Board of Elections Candidate's Guide and includes a legal calendar, petition requirements, and general filing information. Candidates may also obtain copies of the petition packets and the Condensed 2012 Candidate's Guide by visiting the Clerk's office, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.
Petitions may be filed at the County Clerk's office from June 18 to 25, 2012.
