Last Day to Register for April Consolidated Election
WAUKEGAN, Illinois - County Clerk Willard Helander is reminding voters that March 8 is the last day to register to vote with local deputy registrars for the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election.
"Residents who are new to Lake County, moved to a new address in Lake County, turn 18 on or before Election Day or have changed one's name need to register by Tuesday, March 8," said Helander.
Lake County residents may visit LakeVoterPower.info or call (847) 377-2410 to confirm registration status.
New registrants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years old on or before the election, residents of their precinct for 30 days immediately prior to Election Day, and must provide two forms of identification.
Registration is available at the County Clerk's office and at most municipal, township and library facilities. In addition, there are more than 1,200 trained deputy registrars available throughout the county in every local community. The County Clerk's office, 18 N. County St., Room 101, Waukegan, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays.
