Pre-Election Voting Options Ending

 

WAUKEGAN, Illinois - Lake County Clerk Willard Helander reminds registered voters living within North Chicago Wards 2 and 4 and Waukegan Wards 2, 3, 6, and 8 that Thursday, Feb. 17 is the last day for Early Voting. 

 

Early voting is available at the Lake County Clerk's office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan. Hours are Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early voters are required to present current government-issued photo ID.

 

February 17 is also the last day to request a ballot by mail for the February 22 Consolidated Primary Election. Requests for a ballot by mail can be made by calling (847) 377-2406. Once a voted ballot is returned by mail, receipt in the County Clerk's office can be tracked at LakeVoterPower.info.


On Election Day, the polls are open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Person in the districts active in the Feb. 22 primary will have a brief opportunity to register to vote after the primary when registration re-opens on Feb. 24, two days after the Consolidated Primary Election. Registration countywide will remain open through Tuesday, March 8.
