Last Day to Register for Consolidated Primary Election
WAUKEGAN, Illinois - County Clerk Willard Helander reminds residents in North Chicago Wards 2 and 4 and Waukegan Wards 2, 3, 6, and 8 that Jan. 25 is the last day to register to vote with local deputy registrars for the Feb. 22, 2011 Consolidated Primary Election.
"Residents who are new to Lake County, moved to a new address in Lake County, turn 18 on or before Election Day or have changed one's name need to register by Tuesday, Jan. 25," said Helander.
Lake County residents can go to LakeVoterPower.info or call (847) 377-2410 to confirm registration status.
New registrants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years old on or before the election, residents of the precinct for 30 days immediately prior to Election Day and must provide two forms of identification.
Registration is available at the County Clerk's office and at most municipal, township and library facilities. In addition, there are more than 1,300 trained deputy registrars available throughout the county and in every local community.
