Branching Out

  December 14th, 2011

Greetings!

Even though the planting season is over, we've been very busy at the TreeUtah office! On Monday, December 12th, we visited Edison Elementary and presented our new education program; Discovering Trees with Carrie Cottonwood to a crowd of 98 excited second graders.  Carrie the Cottonwood and Ranger Alex were tree-rific.

It's been all hands on deck as we've been busy getting our annual appeal in the mail. Pay attention to your mailbox - letters should be arriving soon! I hope that you will consider giving; even a small donation helps us continue the important work of enhancing the environment through tree planting and education. While watching the Discovering Trees education program, I was reminded of how important it is for us to remember that nature is not just the mountains and lakes that we visit, but also the trees and streams we find in our backyard.

Finally, a very special Thank You to all of our partners, donors, and sponsors who have supported us in 2011.  TreeUtah is a non-profit organization whose continued success depends on the support of generous organizations and individuals like you.

Happy New Year!

The progra
