The Collect for the 15th Sunday after Pentecost / Proper 18
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dear Friends,
Six Years Old! We celebrated our sixth anniversary yesterday in grand style. We launched fall programming with Catechesis (adding level 3!), Adult and Youth class - When Worldviews Collide, wonderful worship and more. Thanks to Charlie and Lydia Pierce who made an extra effort to enrich our fellowship with a beautiful cake and a sparkling toast! I put together a short video of pictures from the past year. You can look at this years and last years video (click here)
We were especially blessed with Don Sweeting, President of Reformed Theological Seminary as our special guest preacher. RTS has been a significant partner in our journey and that friendship continues with enthusiasm on both parts. Don encouraged us to look to Jesus who holds us together when the world is falling apart. This is true for us and it is also our message to a very broken world.
Sunday, September 16th we will have a Choral Evensong service at 3:30pm in the St. Augustine Chapel followed by and English High Tea. (See below) In the next few weeks look for announcements regarding a Newcomers Dinner; Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University; St. Francis Day Service to name a few things coming up. You can download a PDF of all our Fall offerings at Incarnation-Click Here. You can also get a PDF of all of Canterbury's Fall offerings too - Click Here
Sometimes the trek we are on can have twists and turns, unexpected obstacles and challenges. Such is life - I mean that not in a random or fatalistic manner but simply in the reality that Jesus told us. He said, "In this world we will have tribulation..." If he stopped there I wonder if anyone would have followed Him. Thank the Lord that he continued that statement with, "... but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33) Incarnation has been an amazing journey and it continues. May we be faithful in each step, growing in our knowledge and love of the Lord...

Financial Update...
We are praying for our finances at Incarnation. Things have been "tight" with unexpected expenditures hitting us. Though it is serious I am asking you pray for the leadership of the church as we wrestle with how we are to be faithful stewards of what God has given us. If you want more information you can contact me, our Senior Warden, Tommy Hagood or our Treasurer, Greg Seavers
