The Great Triduum / Thursday Evening through Sunday morning in Holy Week / April 5-8, 2012
Dear Friends,
We enter days of special services and more. I commend them to you and hope you will make every effort to enter this sacred time and space. Be sure to join us for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services (all the Holy Week offerings are listed in the left column) A few reminders...
On Saturday evening we will have the The Great Vigil of Easter and Holy Baptism. Bring your bells as we come to the "Easter Moment" and with joy ring out the Good News!
On Sunday morning at both services we will have the "flowering of the cross". Everyone especially the children are asked to bring cut flowers to decorate the cross which later in the day we display at our entrance on Alafaya Trail. We are also resurrecting what we buried on Ash Wednesday - remember? During that time between the services we will have our first Easter Egg Hunt - at 10am. This will be held around the chapel and children are asked to bring their Easter Baskets. (At the 8:30am service there is no incense / at the 11:00am service there is incense)

THE BOOK OF ACTS with Scott Berg
Please join us Sunday mornings beginning April 15th at 10:00am in the Living Room. Scott and his wife, Cheryl, joined Incarnation last year and have been involved with one of our home groups. They have spent time on the mission field and Scott received his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Here is a word from Scott...
I'm so excited about this upcoming class on Acts! I've thoroughly enjoyed preparing for these teaching sessions and I believe those who attend will be encouraged and edified. We will be looking at Acts both diachronically (behind the text: historical background, authorship, date, etc.) and synchronically (in front of the text: what it means for us today, how it relates to the whole of Scripture). The latter will also include exploring the many theological themes in Acts that have spiritual implications for our lives. Looking forward to seeing you there! ~ Scott Berg +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A course taught by Dr. Carla Waterman. Thursday evenings April 12th - May 17th. The course is Sin and Salvation in Narnia. "This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me even better there." (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader)
