Collect for the Fifth  Sunday in Lent
A
lmighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dear Friends,

With joy we welcome our new Bishop The Rt. Rev. Greg Brewer.
Bishop Greg

The consecration is on YOU TUBE if you would like to watch it...

Consecration of Bishop Gregory Brewer Part One
Consecration of Bishop Gregory Brewer

The consecration of our new bishop was a grand time of celebration and worship.
We enter a new time and season with hope and faith as we long to see the Kingdom of God manifest in our church and ministry, in our diocese and nation and in the world.

As a part of this churches were asked to process with banners - we did not have one. I asked a few of our talented and "crafty" members to make one. We blessed it last Wednesday and Jose Rodriguez carried it in procession at the consecration.  A hearty  thanks to Kathy Irvine, Roseddy Montgomery and Lynda Piercy who sewed and stitched the banner together and to Larry Varney who fashioned the pole and stand. It now adorns the chapel.

I hope we always are but I can say there is much to be thankful for...

in the mission,

Two Prayer Requests...
Please pray this week for Pastor Robin as she is on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic - she returns on Saturday March 31.

Russ and Kathy Irvine's daughter Suzy entered the nearer presence of Christ on Saturday after a long and difficult battle with cancer.   Please pray for them in this time.

Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord:

And let light perpetual shine upon him.

May her soul, and the souls of all the departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Opportunities coming in Easter Season...

THE BOOK OF ACTS with Scott Berg
Please join us Sunday mornings beginning April 15th at 10:00am in the Living Room.  Scott and his wife, Cheryl, joined Incarnation  last year and have been involved with one of our home groups. They have spent time on the mission field and Scott received his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary.  Here is a word from Scott...
I'm so excited about this upcoming class on Acts!  I've thoroughly enjoyed preparing for these teaching sessions and I believe those who attend will be encouraged and edified.  We will be looking at Acts both diachronically (behind the text: historical background, authorship, date, etc.) and synchronically (in front of the text: what it means for us today, how it relates to the whole of Scripture).  The latter will also include exploring the many theological themes in Acts that have spiritual implications for our lives.  Looking forward to seeing you there!  ~ Scott Berg
