Dear Friends,
With joy we welcome our new Bishop The Rt. Rev. Greg Brewer.

The consecration is on YOU TUBE if you would like to watch it...
| | Consecration of Bishop Gregory Brewer |
The consecration of our new bishop was a grand time of celebration and worship. We enter a new time and season with hope and faith as we long to see the Kingdom of God manifest in our church and ministry, in our diocese and nation and in the world.
As a part of this churches were asked to process with banners - we did not have one. I asked a few of our talented and "crafty" members to make one. We blessed it last Wednesday and Jose Rodriguez carried it in procession at the consecration. A hearty thanks to Kathy Irvine, Roseddy Montgomery and Lynda Piercy who sewed and stitched the banner together and to Larry Varney who fashioned the pole and stand. It now adorns the chapel.

I hope we always are but I can say there is much to be thankful for...

I'm so excited about this upcoming class on Acts! I've thoroughly enjoyed preparing for these teaching sessions and I believe those who attend will be encouraged and edified. We will be looking at Acts both diachronically (behind the text: historical background, authorship, date, etc.) and synchronically (in front of the text: what it means for us today, how it relates to the whole of Scripture). The latter will also include exploring the many theological themes in Acts that have spiritual implications for our lives. Looking forward to seeing you there! ~ Scott Berg +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A course taught by Dr. Carla Waterman. Thursday evenings April 12th - May 17th. The course is Sin and Salvation in Narnia. "This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me even better there."
