Dear Friends,

It is good to be home and such a blessing to me to be with the saints at Incarnation on Sunday.  My time away was rich and as I contemplated where we are and what we are doing as a church I am truly encouraged that the days ahead will be filled with greater mission and ministry.  As I pressed into prayer listening to the Lord and thinking about our calling I sensed deeply that God has crafted something very special in the congregation called Incarnation. I believe we have a message to proclaim in tangible ways (word and deed) to the world around us.  It is the love of God working in us and through us as a means of proclamation.  There is a message, there is "data" we need to share but the conduit for that message is loving people.  We are to be compassionate, kind, caring, giving people who will make a difference in the lives of the people we meet.

As I said Sunday (click here for a link to the sermon) there are things we can expect, "norms" for followers of Jesus that include but are not limited to; healing, deliverance, prayer and proclamation.  We have been talking a lot about the call to follow and to be a disciple over the last few weeks.  If you are looking for where you might "plug in" or for something to "do" all you need do is ask. Opportunity abounds to serve, give, share and make a difference.  You could very well be the answer to prayers I and others have been praying.

May God grant us grace in the journey and may He find us faithful in each moment...

in the mission,

Father Jon+

A Hymn a Week

I want to share a couple of links this week, We sang the chorus of How Great Thou Art as a part of the praise medley.  I heard this powerful version by Carrie Underwood...

I also am still being blessed by Gary Chapman's offerings of Hymns with reflections...
