    O God, whose blessed Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us children of God and heirs of eternal life: Grant that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves as he is pure; that, when he comes again with power and great glory, we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Friends,

 

A reminder that this Sunday we are asking folks to bring their pledge cards as a special offering / in-gathering as we prayerfully consider how we live our lives and serve the Lord with what we have been given.  You can download a pledge card CLICK HERE   

 

How can you give?  What talents and resources can you offer?  How can you submit your whole life to the Lord?  Yes there a place to make a financial pledge and that is needed as well.  So pray, seek, listen.  Talk about this with your family -  what are you going to give in time, talent, treasure, money, energy, resources for the sake of advancing the Kingdom of God this year. Pray and make a commitment.  I ask you to write it down and bring it this Sunday for a special time of offering in our services on November 13th. This Sunday we will also have a a baptism at the 11am service as Baylor Michael Smith will join the church! (our grandson) Pray for Baylor as he is to receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism.

Every year when I return from North Carolina I bring a few bushels of apples to share with the congregation.  A thank you for the privilege it is to be your Vicar.  These are fresh off the tree so grab some and enjoy.
