Dear Friends,
I hope you are having a blessed holiday weekend. On Labor Day we should offer prayers for the many who are unemployed and underemployed and are struggling in this economy.
From the Book of Common Prayer (page 261)...
Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of
other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
We enter a new "season" at Incarnation this coming week as we gear-up with many offerings for fellowship, spiritual growth and service. TAKE NOTE - Our Sunday morning schedule is changing back to our "school year mode" beginning September 11.

On September 11th we celebrate our 5 year anniversary of being an organized mission in the diocese. We have as our special guest to celebrate this momentous occasion Jennifer La Mountain. (see the left column for details) Jennifer is a gifted vocalist that will inspire and encourage us in the Lord. She has several videos on You Tube - one of my favorites ( a song by our friend Steve Fry)

As we celebrate and give thanks there will be a few surprises and some wonderful moments as we remember our calling as God's people in this community. We cannot let this day go by with out acknowledging the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the tragedy that has scarred our nation. We will offer prayers and special music.
Additionally Morning Prayer / Organic Discipleship / Youth Group and Confirmation Classes will begin the following week. Check the left column for details.
Let us welcome with joy our new brother in Christ! Colton Charles Frick received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism yesterday and joined the church!
