Dear Friends,
One week after he was born, our grandson Baylor Michael Smith came home. Thank you for your prayers, mother and baby are doing just fine!

I also used the following two quotes in my sermon...
G.K. Chesterton: "Jesus promised his disciples three things that they would be completely fearless, absurdly happy, and in constant trouble."
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
I find these to express a truth we sometimes shy away from. The Christian life at times will be difficult and an uphill climb. In all things and at all times God will give us his presence and power. This is the joy of living the Christian life - the sweet fellowship we share with Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May God because of His great love for us give us the grace and strength to walk in each breath.
