Dear Friends,
A big weekend...
I was honored to celebrate Joe and Dani's wedding on Saturday. It was a great gathering filled with the presence of Christ, a celebration of love and joy.
On Friday, Baylor Michael Smith was born, son of Brandon and Brandy Smith and Beth and my second grandson. Baylor is in the NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital - he is an "RH" baby and has some jaundice but prognosis is good and he should be home within the week. Prayers appreciated for our family.
On Sunday we sent off Deacon Dick and Sandra Costin as they take a leave of absence from Incarnation to live in Atlanta for a couple of years. (I am counting the days!) Words cannot express my gratitude for all that Deacon Dick and Sandra have done for us. May God grant them safe journey and return them to us with haste.
I am enjoying our one service over the summer, it is wonderful to have everyone together. I am also enjoying the "children's sermon". We considered restarting "children's chapel" but it was complicated given some of the space issues and this seems to be a good way to involve the younger folks in our worship and Ministry of the Word. I think there are a few adults learning some things in this offering as well.
In all these things I believe God is enriching our soil so that we will bear Kingdom Fruit! (Listen to Sunday's sermon for more on this - Click Here)
