Collect for the Week
All Saints Day Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. ****************************** Readings for the Sunday after All Saints November 14, 2010 Jeremiah 23:1-6 Canticle 16

Dear Friends,
It was so wonderful to be home and gather with the saints at Incarnation yesterday - I missed you! This is my favorite time of the year. I love the fall - the crispness in the air, college football, (though I am saddened by my teams failures to win) and I got a good dose of the leaves changing while in North Carolina. There is expectation and hope as we move forward.
We are entering a busy season... Thanksgiving, Christmas and all the activity that surrounds the holiday festivities. It is evident as you look at the left column with all that is coming up for us. We can get busy with decorating, gift shopping, meal preparations, parties and gatherings and in the midst forget the significance of WHY we do all these things.
This Friday and Saturday November 19 & 20 you have an opportunity to hit the pause button and gather in a retreat and ponder afresh our calling to follow Jesus as we prepare to celebrate is coming to save, redeem and heal. Bishop Alden Hathaway will be leading a retreat at Canterbury on Christ, Culture and Kingdom. Bishop Hathaway is a champion of the faith, a tremendous speaker and we will be blessed by his ministry among us. Click here for a flyer
Join us for this time of fellowship, teaching, worship and more. You can register by calling Terra at Canterbury (commuter rates are available) 407-365-5571 / Email tmedeiros@canterburyretreat.org

Incarnation will be doubly blessed with having him as our preacher at 8:30 and 11:00 am on Sunday 11/21 and as speaker at an adult forum on that same Sunday morning between the services.
in the mission of the Kingdom, Fr. Jon
