Dear Friends,
I had a very full and productive week traveling on business for Canterbury. We will be launching a Doctor of Ministry Program in 2010 in partnership with Northern Seminary. This is very exciting and a way forward for Canterbury to fulfill its mission and calling. Please pray for this and other opportunities to move Canterbury to a profitable future.
While traveling I had an opportunity to be at Nashotah House and visit with Gary Jackson. Father Thomas was there as well.
Please pray for Gary in his studies and especially in this time where he is separated from his family.
I also was able to attend Mountain Day at may Alma Mater Berry College in Rome Georgia. I saw some "old" dear friends but was surprised to see some of the youth from my youth minister days at Mount Paran Church of God. Tracy was a volunteer in the youth ministry at Mount Paran and we were at Berry together (I graduated in 1982 / Tracy in 1985) It made me feel old to think that "my youth group kids" now have kids attending Berry.

Two things come to mind...
First what an amazing fellowship we share in Christ. It was sweet and precious joy to visit with these friends. We have shared significant moments of faith, hope and love as we sojourned together in ministry week in and week out, at camps and retreats and so much more. This reunion made me think of the day when we will by faith join the Communion of Saints being reunited with friends and family. What a wonderful day that will be!
Second I reflected on how the Gospel comes to us and through us. As Pastor Robin commended us on Sunday, we have a treasure given to us in Christ and we are to be a conduit of that treasure. I received it through the ministry of Harry and Judy Tysinger, I got to pass some of it on to Juli, Tracy, De'ette and others. They are doing the same with their friends and family.
The Kingdom continues to grow and expand - This is the joy of our journey to participate in this life in something that will never end!
in the mission of the Kingdom, Fr. Jon
