New Sunday Schedule (now in effect)

Dear Friends,

When I was the Canon for Youth Ministry at the Diocese every August we would have an event called "Gearing Up".  It was designed to sharpen the skills of youth workers with new ideas, tools, resources and more enlarging their vision for their calling to minister to young people.  This season of late August and early September has that feel to me every year as we launch programming and usually are initiating a few new things.  As someone who designs and plans a programs and events sometimes I can get the priorities and goals out of kilter.  The goal is not successful well attended programs but rather the goal is deeper faith and commitment to Christ - transformation and change as we become more Christ-like in life's journey.  Well-planned, well-executed programs and events can fuel us in the journey but the goal is not a smooth running church mechanism of classes and such but rather the goal is a heart and mind dedicated to Christ.  This is the "gearing up" I desire - the constant "tune-up" I need employed in my life as I follow Christ. We will offer great programs and classes, meaningful events and more but all of this is to form us as disciples and followers of Jesus. So join me and the Incarnation family in the journey to become more like Jesus.
