Trinity Sunday
Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Friends,

What a full week!   We had the Kingdom Mandate Conference with great teaching, workshops, worship, fellowship and more.   You can check out the main session teachings by clicking here I commend them all to you, both Bishop Howe and Mike Atkins gave inspirational and challenging talks regarding our calling in ministry.

The Rev. Mike Atkins joined us for Sunday worship at Incarnation and was our preacher and you can listen to his sermon (click here).  Mike is a dear friend and has been a partner and mentor in ministry for me for nearly 30 years.  Whenever I am with him I am blessed and this week was very rich and full.

Additionally we were blessed to have Pastor Robin in our midst as well (along with her husband Jim!) It was great to have them here and I am so looking forward to them joining the mission in Oviedo - both at Incarnation and Canterbury.  I found myself smiling throughout the conference and the weekend over God's kindness and grace in sending this family to us to share in the work of the Kingdom of God in Oviedo.

We also welcomed back Dr. Carla Waterman who is looking at relocating her ministry to Canterbury and joining the work at Incarnation as well.  Carla will be offering a retreat in a couple weeks. (see the left hand column for details)  I hope some of you will consider attending this retreat as I am sure you will be blessed and grow deeper in your faith by participating. Please pray for this transition and how this will continue to unfold in our midst.

In this season where there has been a lot of activity both at Incarnation and Canterbury I am grateful for the mercy of God poured out upon us.  This time in our journey has been overflowing and there is much work to be done as we move forward into all God has for us.  Let us however not just focus on tasks and projects but rather let us (as Mike reminded us) find our rest in the love of God - it there that we are refreshed, renewed and empowered... it is learning as Jesus says in John 15... "...apart from Him we can do nothing"

In the mission,

Fr. Jon+

We are entering our summer schedule - with no Christian Formation classes.  We are also suspending the Morning Prayer Services and mid week Eucharist.  All of these and much more will be returning in the FALL. Our Sunday service continues in the St. Augustine Chapel at Canterbury.
