Dear Friends,
I really like the Season of Easter and we are about to enter the last stage of this this "Cycle of Life" (as Robert Webber calls it) In the seasons of Lent, Easter and up to Pentecost we walk with Jesus, reflecting on his ministry and mission engaging in this process that leads us from and through death to resurrected and Spirit empowered life. This journey climaxes in Holy week with his death on the cross and resurrection on Easter. It does not end there. We then take steps to Pentecost and this "life" of the Holy Spirit empowers us to continue the work of Christ in the world. This Thursday, May 13th is Ascension Day. One of the "High Feast Days" of the church calender and one that gets set aside in modern culture. On Ascension Day we commemorate Jesus ascending to the Father. It is as important to our redemption as Christmas, Good Friday and Easter. If you do not know why, then join us Thursday evening (5/13) at 6pm at the St. Augustine Chapel at Canterbury for an Ascension Day Eucharist and find out.
Other exciting news for Incarnation and Canterbury. This past weekend I extended a call to The Rev. Robin Morical to serve as an assistant for Incarnation and to serve on the Canterbury staff. Robin and her family will be moving from Minneapolis, MN to Oviedo and taking up residence on the Canterbury campus in August. Robin is a gifted individual and will join our efforts in mission and ministry to see the Kingdom of God expand into the hearts and lives in Oviedo and beyond. Here are a couple pictures of Robin and her family.

A FEW THINGS...
Volunteering
at Canterbury... There is much to do. A I grow in my
familiarity with the Canterbury campus, I see there is a great deal we
as a congregation can do to contribute to the operation of the retreat
center. There are: flower beds that need attention; office projects
(some routine, others that are special tasks); painting; sprucing up
the campus and physical plant; and more. If you or your family or a
group of you want to help out please contact me.
