COLLECT FOR
EASTER

O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Teaching Mission with

Carla Waterman
April 23 & 24th.
Carla has become a good friend and has a ministry in spiritual formation and healing.. her recent book Songs of Ascent is a journey to deeper faith and wholeness in Christ. Her focus in this retreat is Resting & Established "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!"  (Psalms 90:17) More details soon but mark your calendars for this rich time of going deeper in Christ.

"The world offers promises full of emptiness. But Easter offers emptiness full of promise."

Dear Friends,

I have enjoyed immensely our journey this past week from Palm Sunday to Easter.  It was and is a rich liturgical experience and there were many moments along the way to pause and consider, contemplate and reflect on how great a salvation has been won for us in Christ, by his life, death and resurrection.  Much of the journey this year was new and fresh given we are worshiping in the St. Augustine Chapel at Canterbury.  Join me in giving thanks for this special time of hope, joy, faith and love.

You can click here for a link to a "new" song we did on Sunday.   Hunter's Alleluia is actually something I recorded in 1991 with some friends for a youth worship album called "Relentless and Tender Music"  This will be our Gospel "hymn" for the season of Easter.

This Sunday (April 11th) we will have an instructed Eucharist at our 10:30am service.

Let me draw your attention to an opportunity...

We have a teaching mission coming up with Carla Waterman.   Carla has become a good friend and I am excited that she will be able to share her profound teaching ministry with us.  (check out the left column for details and links) Carla has a focus on formation / discipleship and inner healing and I hope you will make every effort to be a part of this time to help us grow deeper into the things of God. The event is April 23 & 24th.  We will have a Friday evening session and a couple of sessions on Saturday morning.  Make plans to attend now. To register email Shelly (shelly@incarnationoviedo.com) to let us know who and how many are coming.   If you have questions you can contact me.

In the mission,

Fr. Jon+
