This Sunday being the last Sunday of the month gives us an opportunity to reach out to folks in need in two distinct ways:
It is Food Sunday and we ask you to bring non-perishable food items for the Oviedo Food Bank. Particular items needed are rice, pasta, corn, mashed potatoes - but any items you bring will help. So clean out your cupboard or buy an extra can or two at the market this week.
The last Sunday of the month the "cash" in the offering goes to my discretionary fund and I use this money to help people in need, often folks who are members of Incarnation. If you would like to make a donation to the discretionary fund it would be most appreciated. You can write a check to Incarnation and tag it for "discretionary". There are a couple of specific needs I am trying to respond to and funds are very tight. Please be generous in your prayers for others and in your giving.
We will grow the church by the kindness, mercy, compassion and grace of God flowing through us to those in need. So pray about how you can give, serve, contribute and bless others by your actions. This is the discipleship Jesus wants in us and through us in Lent and every season.
