As most of you know the island country of Haiti suffered a massive earthquake this week with tremendous devastation and loss of life.
There are three immediate responses...

Let us all join together in prayer for the people suffering in this disaster.
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.

This Sunday we will be taking a special offering for Haiti and our diocese is collecting funds from all the churches through our own disaster relief office and getting them to the people in need. Please come with a financial gift to this cause and be as generous as you can. Make your checks payable to Church of the Incarnation and tag them for "HAITI".

Could this be the opportunity we have been looking for and praying about as we have considered an sending a team out on mission? The rebuilding will take years.
