Stewardship...

Dear Friends,

As I said on Sunday, Stewardship is about much more than just money. (by the way we did not get an audio of my sermon due to technical difficulties) Stewardship is comprehensive of all of our lives and deals with how we manage all that we have been given by God. We are to be stewards of our health, the environment, our gifts and talents, our time, our resources, money and more.

In regards to the stewardship of our health, I mentioned that I have lost 60+pounds in the past four months. There were a number of you who asked me about the program I am using; it is called Take Shape For Life and I have a great coach in Judith McCarthy. You can check her and the program out CLICK HERE.

In this day I do see that the management of money as a crucial element of stewardship. For the past six months or so I have been listening to Dave Ramsey, a noted financial counselor who has a syndicated radio show and an evening show on Fox Business. I have been impressed by his simple yet biblical approach to life in terms of finances and his desire to move people from the bondage of debt into true financial freedom. Coming in January we will be offering his Financial Peace University in a variety of venues and time slots. I hope that every single member of Incarnation will take advantage of this opportunity and whether you have a lot of money or just a little money; whether you are loaded and burdened with debt or financially free this will be an opportunity to grow in stewardship and our understanding of this important issue of discipleship. ALSO... This past Sunday we handed out pledge cards for the 2010 budget year. They are available on line (Click Here) or on Sundays. Please prayerfully consider your contribution to our common life and ministry together. In all things may we be found faithful as we follow Christ. Please join me as we pray for our future mission and how we are to grow into all God wants us to be. Living, dwelling and rejoicing in the land where blessings abound!
