Collect for the week O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to
his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith,
that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns
with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Dear Friends,
What a remarkable day Sunday was! The many blessings began with a visit to the "Atrium" where we hold the Catechesis of the. Good Shepherd. I have read, conversed and been persuaded that the "catechesis" was a ministry we were suppose to initiate and provide for our children - but words do not do it justice. Watching the reverence and engagement of our children was in a word, profound. This is a gift to us and to our children as they are coming to know on mulltile layers and in various ways the depth of Christ Jesus.
During our worship I was moved by Stephanie Seefeldt's ministry among us. Her gift of music is so fluid and appears effortless as she moves from song, to hymn, to chorus. In all these God used her to pour out his love and comfort, his peace that passes understanding. I listened intently as God used Steph to calm my heart and hold me in His love. She is an amazing talent, dripping with anointing of the Holy Spirit.
I commend to you my sermon as I believe a greater vision for Incarnation was expressed and a call to deeper community and faith was extended to all of us. To take a listen Click Here
If this was not enough I need to share with you an answered prayer. Last week I was going over our finances with our bookkeeper and realized we had a significant need. ($5000.00) In these difficult economic days our giving has decreased (this is happening everywhere). I found myself fretting a bit about what to do. Quickly I tossed a prayer heavenward - Lord, we need $5000.00 to pay some bills! After a few moments of petition, I rested with having "let my request be made known to God" (Phil. 4:6).
Literally - fifteen minutes later I got word a person was going to give us a tithe of the proceeds of a settlement they were receiving - The settlement was for $50,000.00. That's right we were to get (and have since received) a check for $5000.00. It may not seem like much to some folks, but I was stunned. (Oh me of little faith!)
God's provision is amazing - always right on time giving us the encouragement we need to take another step of faith. Blessing, amazement, provision, healing, wholeness, grace, mercy, peace, comfort and love are ours in Christ Jesus when we trust, obey and believe. What do you need? Ask and you shall receive!
