Prayer... Almighty God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we ask You to give us a divine compulsion; a divine connection; and a divine compassion for the sake of those who do not yet know your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ! This came from Sunday's sermon - you can listen by Clicking Here

Dear Friends,
As we approach the season of Lent, I am sensing already a call to deeper prayer, personally and for us corporately at Incarnation. There are lots of things to pray about. Given the perils of these days in the world, our nation, the economy, the Anglican Communion and more I am calling us to make this Lent a season of prayer. We will begin a PRAYER MEETING at the Mission House at 7:30pm for the Wednesdays in Lent (March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 1 & 8)
I am calling this gathering Kingdom Prayer as we will pray for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in us and through us and to the world; that is the rule and reign of King Jesus to extend further in our own lives and among all people. In this we will pray for repentance and forgiveness; healing and amendment of life; for our nation and leaders; for peace in the world; for our church and mission; and all that the Lord would lead us to in prayer. For some of you this will stretch you that is okay for others you will be completely comfortable in this task. We will do some instruction on prayer and this will a time of interaction and participation.
I will also be teaching our Sunday Morning Class in Lent on Prayer. In this time we will explore the disciplines of prayer and how they help us grow in Christ. Please join in this season. Come when you can or develop your own disciplines - regardless let these days of prayer soak us with the very presence of God, deepening our knowledge of Him and our love for Him.
Additionally, I got a letter from Nathan and Ali Adams in California. You can read about where they are headed... letter from Nathan and Ali

Lenten Retreat with Bishop Howe
Bishop Howe will be conducting his second annual Lenten Retreat at Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center, February 27 / 28. The topic is How To Give Away Your Faith. Bishop Howe is a gifted teacher and we will be challenged by him to effectively and articulately share the faith once received. I hope you decide to make this part of your Lenten discipline - it promises to be a renewing experience of our mission and calling in Christ Jesus to go into all the world and proclaim the Good News. Commuter rates are available. For more details and to register please check the following website... Bishop Howe / Lenten Retreat
