Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ
is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your
Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory,
that he may be known, worshipped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives
and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Annual Meeting of Church of the Incarnation Sunday, January 25th / 10:30am (as a part of our morning service). Giving thanks for where we have been and looking ahead as we move forward in mission and ministry.

Dear Friends,
In this season of Epiphany we look at how the Kingdom of God is manifest in the ministry of Jesus and subsequently how we as the church continue to manifest the Kingdom until his return. In this vein we will hold our annual meeting and reflect on where we have been, where we are and where we are headed.
There is no greater adventure, opportunity or purpose in this world then to be about the expansion of the Kingdom of God. What could be better than to see the love, power, healing, salvation, and reconciliation of our great King reach into a world that is desperate for Good News? Our journey as a congregation has been a blessed one and even in these difficult days of conflicts around the world, economic stress and more; we have hope. We hope for our nation, for peace throughout the world, that suffering and want will end and the Jesus will establish His rule and reign in the hearts of men and women everywhere. This hope begins in me as I become a conduit of God's grace to those I meet.
Scripture reminds us that when we hope in Jesus we are not disappointed... Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
In days that are dark, in suffering and turmoil, in crisis and chaos, in doubt and as a good friend says "when those things that keep you up at night pester you"; let faith rise up; let the Holy Spirit fall afresh on our lives and may we look to Christ Jesus who is our hope in all things.
This hope will be the focus of our annual meeting come and join in the mission.
Peace and Grace, Jon+ / Vicar

Lenten Retreat with Bishop Howe
Bishop Howe will be conducting his second annual Lenten Retreat at Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center, February 27 / 28. The topic is How To Give Away Your Faith. Bishop Howe is a gifted teacher and we will be challenged by him to effectively and articulately share the faith once received. I hope you will decide to make this part of your Lenten discipline - it promises to be a renewing experience of our mission and calling in Christ Jesus to go into all the world proclaiming the Gospel. Commuter rates are available. For more details and to register please check the following website... Bishop Howe / Lenten Retreat
