The Mailbag
| "Please know you are making a huge difference in so many children's
lives. One of the reasons I was inspired to become a teacher was the
saying, 'a teacher's influence is eternal,' and your performance made
that kind of impression on my students. I know this is a field trip
they will always remember..."
~Victoria Rossi Intermediate Teacher Palm Beach Public School December 2009"We are never disappointed by performances
from Tales & Scales. Interaction with audience makes performance more
meaningful to audience! Awesome Job!"
~Beth Watson Teacher Niagara Elementary November 2009
"Thank
you for coming to our school. I liked when you were dancing and when
you were playing the flute and clarinet and the drums. I hope you can
come back!" ~Alyssa (student) Howard Roosa Elementary October 2009

Greetings!
The past two months have been non-stop for all of us at Tales & Scales. In late October, we launched our annual Fall Fund Drive, followed shortly after by a very special performance at the Very Special Arts Festival in Evansville. Then, we spent two weeks in November visiting every Henderson County, Kentucky elementary school as part of our partnership with the Henderson Area Arts Alliance. Our Tri-State School Tour took up the rest of November, and early December saw the troupe on tour in sunny Florida! Immediately upon the players' return, we embarked on our Barnes & Noble Bookfair, including two free, family performances this past week. Despite the exhaustion, this is good work - important work - that we're doing in our community.
Amid the hustle and bustle of this holiday season, I want to take a moment to stop and say Thank You!
Thank you for caring enough about our young people to ensure that they continue to receive the very best performing arts experiences we can give them. It is our honor and privilege to engage with them each and every day.

Sincerely,
Mary Dicken Executive Director
