Special Edition: Flood 2011
David Casaletto
Ozarks Water Watch has just created a new FACEBOOK PAGE for our organization. This page can be seen by anyone with a computer and any FACEBOOK user can post pictures, events or information on our site. During this latest round of flooding, I encourage anyone in or near the Upper White River Basin watershed (waters that drain into Beaver, Table Rock, Taneycomo or Bull Shoals Lakes) to post information and photos on your current conditions.
If you are a FACEBOOK user and you click the "LIKE" box on our FACEBOOK page, you will automatically receive notifications on your FACEBOOK page of new posts to our page.
It is my hope that even after this flood event, our FACEBOOK page will be used to post information, photos and events by individuals and organizations interested in water quality across the Upper White River Basin. If you have any questions or need information, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this newsletter.
These links will take you to the Ozarks Water Watch FACEBOOK page:

Just a quick update on Table Rock Lake. During the 2008 flood, the maximum elevation of the lake was 933.5 and the maximum release from the dam was 48,000 cu. ft./second. This morning (April 26, 2011 at 8 am) the lake elevation is 930.74 and rising approx. 0.3 an hour and the release from the dam is 45,000 cu. ft./second with more rain forecast this evening and tomorrow. At this time I do not know what is being predicted as to lake level and dam release. There is also 20,000 cu. ft./second being released into Table Rock Lake from the Beaver Lake Dam. Here are a couple of pictures that have come in already:
