HAITI UPDATE

Hi all,

We got back from Haiti Wednesday night around midnight.  It was a great trip...challenging, but great!

A few of the highlights...
  • Our team brought over 300 pounds of medicines for the clinic. 
  • During the four days we worked, we filtered and distributed over 200 gallons of clean water to the tent city and surrounding community we served. 
  • We tested 10 different wells in the area to let the neighborhood know which wells were safe to drink. 
  • The medical team evaluated and took care of over 500 kids and adults from three large tent cities
  • The construction team rebuilt the foundation of the damaged wall around the clinic and got a large section of the wall completed. 
There were 11 of us serving from all walks of life, different faiths, and different ages.  This was probably the best trip I have been on...very difficult, there were many unknowns, but very rewarding.

Haiti is a hurting place, but God is working and changing lives despite the pain.  Thanks to all of you who contributed to the effort through your prayers, meds, and financial support.  Your part in this mission is greatly appreciated.
