Hey PCC Family & Friends

If you missed the Luau at Fort DeSoto this past weekend, it was an awesome experience. Over 350 people from PCC came out to celebrate, not only the 17th anniversary of our church family, but the spiritual rebirth of 20 men, women, and young people who were baptized. We had an incredible time eating Bar-B-Q, hanging out with friends, and meeting new ones...watching the kids tear up the games and cheering on those who got baptized.
Speaking of life change, during the past eight weeks we've seen
38 men, women, and youth make first-time commitments to Christ. Over
140 rededicated their life to Christ during our weekend services. It is
so exciting to see God using you to invite and bring your friends. Our
mission is to help them become fully devoted followers of Christ. If
you've invited someone and you see their life changing, be sure to help
them make the Next Step forward to growth in their relationship with
Christ. One way would be to encourage them to attend Connect 101 in
October. Better yet, come with them!
SAVE THE DATE
Mayoral Forum - October 20th
I'm honored to host both mayoral candidates, Kathleen Ford and Bill Foster, on Tuesday, October 20th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the PCC campus for a one-on-one interview. I'll be asking important questions about leadership and the vision each one has for our city. I will also present questions from you, so that before you vote, you'll have a good glimpse of who these two people are and how they might govern our city. This will not be a debate. Each dialogue will be independent of the other nominee and neither candidate will know what questions I'll be asking in advance. While a portion of the seating will be extended to the community, we plan on saving the best seats in the house for you. Stay tuned and we'll let you know when the free tickets are available for PCC folks.
Fall Fest - October 31st
Our annual Halloween alternative is coming soon and we're getting geared up to host literally 1000's of people from our community on our campus. Why do we do this? For two very important reasons. First, we know people in our community are looking for something to do with their kids on this night that is fun AND safe. Safety and fun are our two top goals and we do everything in our power to make sure both happen. However, the most important reason we invest thousands of dollars and volunteer hours is because of the lasting impact it makes on our community. All throughout the south side of Pinellas County, people know that they can trust PCC with their kids. Our hope is that if they trust us to have fun with their kids, they'll trust us to share Christ with them too.
I look forward to all that God will accomplish through us this October and celebrating with you the lives changed for Christ.
Continue being the Church,
Pastor Mark

We live in a world of fear...anxiety over the next round of layoffs,
the newest flu strain, and the threat of an impending terrorist attack.
Can you imagine a life untouched by fear? Yet, this is exactly the life
that awaits those who understand the power of faith in God rather than
the fear of this world. Join us as we explore different aspects of how to build a life that is
Fear-less.
Remaining Messages: Meaning-less (Oct. 4) Self-less (Oct. 11) Fear-less (Oct. 18)
