Healthy Greetings! When we opened up the Herb Shoppe Cagan Crossings almost two years ago one of our goals was to be able to provide a source for local, organic and healthier food options.
We've tried carrying a variety of different food items in the shoppe and at one time served as a drop-off for a local co-op. Our new farmer's market has been the most successful of our endeavors.
Even with the success of the market there is still an obvious need for more food options. I still travel 40 minutes to Whole Foods and sometimes even further to pick-up basic food items.
While I would love to be able to offer all of these items on a regular basis at the shoppe, current economic conditions just don't make it feasible. An organic food buying club might work.
Before I work out all of the details I'd like to know how many of you are interested. There would be a membership fee and a requirement to work a few hours every quarter to help manage the club. In exchange you would be able to purchase food items at a reduced cost.
