Dear Teachers,
I've always seen teaching as very entrepreneurial, for each of you has your own platform from which to launch your endeavors: a storefront in the form of a classroom and customers in the form of students.
You market ideas, sell skills and provide customer service until these ideas and skills are fully and satisfactorily transferred to your customers. You start clubs and teams. And like entrepreneurs, you have the power to create something new, to gather the forces at work in the larger society and channel them in new and artful ways that, if they work, benefit everyone. That is, you create value.
Kudos to all you teacherpreneurs who run meaningful startups for 30 students at a time!
Teach and be well,
Paul

Spanish & Texas History
Grades PK–8
“I live in the great state of Texas and have taught for eleven years. The first half of my career was in elementary
and early childhood, and I now teach junior high Spanish and Texas History as well as, tutor in math and science. I am
a huge believer in using choices in the classroom — students are more motivated to learn when they have a say in their
learning technique.”
