Dear Teachers,
We're getting lots of feedback from sellers who tell us that selling their teaching materials on TpT--and offering free items--has made them better teachers. The increased reflection it takes to make their materials as good as possible is making them more effective in their classrooms.
Markets and incentives have this kind of power. The market is why companies like Apple and Google are so innovative and keep getting better. Indeed, we've noticed that the overall quality of our catalog has steadily increased since we launched in 2006, and we see the future, a few years from now, when 10s of thousands of teachers will be marketing perhaps 100s of thousands (even millions) of high quality, ever-improving resources to their colleagues on TpT. We aim to have an iTunes-like library in scope and comprehensiveness stocked with the best and most up to date materials created by teachers who are continually getting better at what they do. Stay with us on this journey, on our little (big?) experiment in teacher empowerment! It's going to get good.
Teach and be well,
Paul
