Welcome to March!
It's just around the corner. I know it's true because I have daffodils preparing to bloom. Winter is in its last days and spring will be upon us soon.
Another of life's transitions. This time we move from the deep dark work of winter into the joyful celebration of new growth and fresh life. This is my favorite time of year!
As the winter winds down, there will be some wild, unpredictable weather mixed in with bursts of sunshine and increasing warmth. It's all part of mother nature's way of ushering in a new season. Aren't we lucky?
Whatever each day brings, greet it with enthusiasm and wonder! |

Before the Buds Appear Trusting the process
When the ground is covered with snow, it is difficult to imagine that within a short time, the earth will come alive with the new growth and flowers of spring.
How do we know it will happen? Why are we sure that after winter comes spring?
History has shown us repeatedly that spring follows winter. Sometimes the seasons are mild. Sometimes they are extreme. Whatever the intensity of the seasons, they come and go with certainty.
It's reassuring to know that we can trust this flow of nature. It brings a comfort to our souls to know, within some limits, what is coming.
In the events of our own lives, it isn't always as easy to trust the process the way we can the changing of the seasons. Yet, that is what I believe we are here on this earth to do.
When we plant seeds we will reap a harvest. It doesn't happen immediately. It requires patience, determination, persistence and faith. What we sow, we will reap.
Before the plant pops out of the ground, we have to continue to provide for its needs, even though we can't see evidence that our efforts are paying off. We must trust the process and continue to do what we know we need to do.
The buds are on the way! You can count on it! Whatever you are waiting for in your life, keep doing the work you know you need to do to bring the result you seek. Have patience. Hold on to your faith and nurture your trust.
The buds will appear in their own right and perfect time.
You can't rush the process.
Wait with an expectant heart and get ready for the thrill of the first bud's appearance! |
