Spring Showers Bring May...Gardens.
On Wednesday May 26th, the Y-SOCIAL active older adults will take a Day Trip to the Ashland Berry Farm for a tour and lunch. Participants will depart at 10:30 am and return at approximately 5:00 pm. Trip goers will enjoy a delicous spring lunch along with a tour the garden center, ponds, and sites of the beautiful Ashland Berry Farm.
Members may attend for only $20 dollars The deadline to register is May 20th. Y-SOCIAL is a partnership with Calvary United Methodist Church and provides weekly health & wellness classes, weekly speakers and monthly day trips for older adults in our community. Family Fun Bike/Walk - Friday May 21st
On Friday May 21, the Richmond County YMCA will host its first ever YMCA Family Fun Bike/Walk. Judging starts at 6 pm for the best themed family; dress alike or have fun decorating your bikes or stroller. Food, drinks and music will be provided and even a moon bounce. This is a family event so strollers are welcomed. Come out and enjoy a fun filled night with family and friends at the YMCA. For more information contact the YMCA. |
YMCA Now Registering for Summer Day Camp
Summer is quickly approaching and for many families in the Richmond County area, plans are being made for YMCA Summer Day Camp. Boys and Girls, 5-14 will experience a summer to remember. Everyday campers will swim, play sports, sing songs, enjoy family time, friends and just being creatively crazy! Every Wednesday campers will take a field trip to such places as Kings Dominion, Water Country USA, Cobble Stone Park, Funland and so much more.
Registration is open to everyone Wednesday April 28 from 6 pm-8 pm. After this date parents will need to make an appointment with Meagan, Y Camp Director. Spots will fill fast, the YMCA encourages you to register as soon as possible. |
YMCA Camp Kekoka - Wow, What a Summer!
What was one of your best childhood memories? Most likely if you ever attended an overnight camp, you have strong memories of that experience. Right here on the Northern Neck, YMCA Camp Kekoka gives 9-15 year olds that same opportunity. Check out the camp website here, there is even a new "Rite of Passage Week" for 8 year olds.
